The Power Of Hypnosis

To simplify the human mind, every human being has both and unconscious mind and a conscious mind, and while these do not actually exist as different physical structures, it helps to model what goes on at the level of awareness as the conscious mind, and what happens below the level of conscious awareness the unconscious mind.

The unconscious mind makes up over 90% of the human brainpower, and is constantly working to keep you alive, regulating your body temperature, keeping your heart beating, and generally keeping you alive. The unconscious mind also stores all long term memory (there is some debate amongst hypnotists as to whether the unconscious mind remember literally everything, or just nearly everything).

Hypnosis is basically the access and utilization of the unconscious mind. In order to access the unconscious mind as effectively as possible we must first bypass the conscious mind, which uses logic and reasoning to reject ideas.

For example, if i was to say to you now, "You are very, very happy, the happiest you have every been" consciously, you are likely to reject that, as although it is possible, it is unlikely for you to be the most happy you have ever been right now. However if i was to put you in what hypnotists call a "trance" the conscious mind would be out of the picture, and you would literally become the happiest you have ever been.

This basic principle, that the unconscious mind accepts and acts on suggestions given, is the basis of stage hypnosis (you are a chicken etc).

The therapeutic applications of hypnosis are also wise and highly effective.

As the unconscious mind stores all your habits, it also controls addictions, so hypnosis can be sued for quick and efficient smoking cessation and to end addictions of all kinds.

For the students out there, hypnosis can help you to, as the unconscious stores your long term memory, hypnosis is the way to get consistent good grades.

With the ability to induce trance states and to bypass the conscious mind, hypnosis can be used covertly, without the subjects knowledge, to great effect in fields such as persuasion ans sales.

Even in sports hypnosis is useful, as when you get that feeling that you have really mastered something, that something as clicked inside you and you suddenly know that you are really good at whatever sport you do, that feeling of accomplishment means you have achieved what is called unconscious competence, and obviously this can be rapidly accelerated and improved through hypnosis

You hypnotic adventures await!
